Another Year Gone By ... Another Day at the Orchard with My Favorite Flower
Two years ago, I took this shot of my favorite little flower on a day that has become a closely guarded tradition: birthday cherry & blueberry picking with my Norah.
She was two at the time and the light of my life. Admittedly, I was a bit obsessed with her ever wild curly locks. That texture and the colorful, untameable personality behind it has become quite a source of inspiration in my work with flowers and light.
Two years later... the hair, the personality, and my admiration for it all have grown to depths I could not have appreciated before.
Dear Norah... Here's to yet another birthday shared with the my favorite little farm girl; the most interesting, beautiful, inspiring helper a Mom could ask for.
Thanks for the cherry brownies!! Love you so!
