Oleander Featured at Holly Hedge Estate's Bridal Tasting, New Hope / Solebury, Bucks County, Pennsylvania
Lately, the studio has been busier than ever! In the midst of meeting with new brides, planning upcoming weddings & events, and celebrating birthdays and anniversaries, we were humbled by an invitation to be the sole floral studio featured at one fantastic event: Holly Hedge Estate's 2013 Spring Bridal Tasting. What a tremendous honor and opportunity to create an array of designs to suit event palettes and styles for every season. Using the linen colors and textures chosen by Holly Hedge's Event Staff as our starting point, we created an assortment of bouquets and centerpieces to inspire...
An Elegant Twist on a Woodland Terrarium Centerpiece: an Antique Crystal & Sterling Silver Compote holds an exotic Chartreuse Lady Slipper (Paphiopedilum) Orchid, surrounded by Mikado, Maidenhair and Seastar Ferns, Succulents, and a mix of Wild Mushrooms.
An Unexpected, Rustic Fall Bridal Bouquet of Burgandy Dahlias, Kangaroo Paw, Nude & Blush Hybrid Tea Roses, Fantail Curly Willow, Eucalyptus and a collection of Humanely-Cultivated Pheasant & Fowl Feathers, wrapped in a simple cuff of Ivory & Rust Velvet.
A Feminine, Vintage-Inspired Spring Centerpiece with Loose, Organic Details: a Pink Milk Glass Soup Terrine overflows with Coral Amaryllis, White Dutch Lilac, Tuberose, Blush Hybrid Tea Roses, and Dark Wild Blackberries, balanced in their sweetness by a large spray of thorned, early season Pink Quince Branching.
A Rustic, Red Barn-Inspired Winter Tablescape: A Tall Asymmetrical Spray of Dark Red, Frilled Garden Roses, Ornithogalum, Thistle, Mixed Evergreens, Silver Brunia & Fresh Rosemary, tucked inside a Custom Built, Charcoal Grey Concrete & Wood Pedestal created by local Concrete Sculptor Trowel & Tenon.
Thank you so, so much to all of the Event Staff at Holly Hedge, especially Wendy, Liz & Sara for inviting us to participate and for all of your assistance along the way. It was a pleasure and privilege. Here's to many future weddings together; we couldn't be more excited!
Thanks as well to Erik & Deanna of Lovebirds Philly Photo Booths and Heather of Radiant Reflections for graciously contributing to the image collection above. Great work by some great local photography talent. Can't wait to work together again!
And lastly, we've been humbled by the tremendous response from the many Holly Hedge Brides in attendance. Your kind words and interest in our work has been more than we could have hoped for.
You have already made this year our best yet. Now it's time to get to work!
Stay tuned for more photos to come...
