Theresa & Jason, The Stone Terrace, Hamilton, NJ
I met Theresa by chance not long ago, but now it seems I've known her all along. She is just so endearing, I would challenge any cynic not to be inspired by her joy as she planned for her and Jason's big day. A day which was to be a romantic, inviting celebration of not only each other, but all of those they hold dear.
Theresa brought to the design table a love of cream and champagne tones, pops of apple green, an affinity for contrasting textures, and lots of trust. From this point, we created a mix of garden-inspired elements which served to blur the lines between the interior and exterior spaces. The intimate garden ceremony space at The Stone Terrace in Hamilton , New Jersey provided the perfect open backdrop for something truly unique.
A space like this, coupled Theresa's complete faith and willingness to be a bit "surprised", is really a floral designer's dream. We took this faith and ran with it, constructing an assymetrical custom trellis of seasonal hydrangea and wisteria vining, complete with a vintage iron chandelier from our in-house collection.
The sweetheart table also presented an opportunity to create a dramatic statement, combining rough, worn wood textures and vintage lace with heirloom crystal and blooms. I just love the contrast of our teak trough table positioned as a focal point below the ballroom's center chandelier.
Theresa's Romantic Jacquard Ribbon Wrapped Bouquet, textured with pearly White Pieris and Jasmine...Loved this palette so much, I almost didn't want to part with it.
A memorial piece created for the bride's mother...Though sunflowers were not part of the wedding palette, we still found a way. Theresa, it was truly an honor.
